On International Nurses Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate nurses in every setting – and to say thank you for the care that patients and families feel, remember and rely on.

At Pharmaxo, our nurses provide high-quality, patient-centred care beyond hospital walls, supporting people with complex or long-term conditions whether that’s in a patient’s home, in one of our clinics, or virtually when training and education can be delivered safely and effectively by video. In patients’ words

Behind every interaction is a person putting their trust in us. Here are a few words from patients that capture what compassionate nursing care can feel like at Pharmaxo.

One patient shared that our nurses brought warmth as well as professionalism: “My nurse is wonderful, happy to chat and makes the whole procedure as comfortable and relaxed as possible.” —Pharmaxo Healthcare Patient Survey 2026

Others speak about the relief of feeling looked after and listened to: “I could not ask for a better service.” And, simply: “I am delighted with the care I am receiving.”

For our nurses, that trust is deeply personal. As one member of the team said: “The most rewarding part of my role is building rapport with patients and being part of their journey.” —Levin Billones, Pharmaxo Healthcare nurse

Nursing that puts people first

Nursing makes its mark in thousands of small moments: a clear explanation, a calm check-in, reassurance when someone feels unsure. Out-of-hospital nursing at Pharmaxo is built around those moments, backed by strong clinical standards. Homecare nurses bring expertise and compassion into people’s homes, supporting independence and confidence – often forming consistent relationships with patients and carers over time. In our clinics, nurses deliver specialist treatments in a welcoming, supported environment, with the same focus on safety, reliability and quality.

Different settings. Same impact – high-quality care, wherever it’s needed.

This year also marks an important milestone, with the recent opening of our clinic at Audley Health Centre in partnership with Royal Stoke University Hospital. Patients are now being treated there by our Pharmaxo nursing team, extending our model of high-quality, patient-centred care into a new clinical environment.

This International Nurses Day, we’re proud to recognise every Pharmaxo nurse and the difference you make for patients and families—through expertise, compassion and consistency. Thank you for bringing quality care to the places it’s needed most.
