I’ve now spent 23 years in pharmaceuticals, working in logistics, supply chain and commercial operations for the manufacture of a variety of products including over-the-counter drugs, injectables, wound dressings, syringes and fast-melt oral formulations.
I also really liked science, so I decided to give it a try. During the interview, the company suggested I do an apprenticeship. This was more than just something to do for a year – it was a good alternative to going to university, as well as the chance to begin a career that could go somewhere.
Behind every one of our products at Bath ASU, there can be from six months to three years of detailed research. Principal Scientist, Richard Parry, is central to this process.
