After I graduated from Bath Business School with a degree in Business and Marketing, I went to work for Rutherford Cancer Centres, a network of private cancer clinics, where I joined as a marketing assistant and helped to set up their marketing department from scratch.
I joined Pharmaxo in 2022 – I started as a temp and then they offered me a permanent role. Before that I studied English at university, and worked on a Covid helpline.
This month, patients will be able to receive their immunotherapy or chemotherapy treatment as part of a brand-new service offered by University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust located at the Glenfield Hospital in partnership with Pharmaxo Healthcare.

I’ve now spent 23 years in pharmaceuticals, working in logistics, supply chain and commercial operations for the manufacture of a variety of products including over-the-counter drugs, injectables, wound dressings, syringes and fast-melt oral formulations.
I also really liked science, so I decided to give it a try. During the interview, the company suggested I do an apprenticeship. This was more than just something to do for a year – it was a good alternative to going to university, as well as the chance to begin a career that could go somewhere.
