We’re delighted to welcome Kirsty Keith as the new General Manager of Bath ASU. With a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry and a passion for making a real difference, Kirsty brings a fresh energy and vision to Bath ASU.
We asked Kirsty a few questions to help us get to know her better…
What inspired you to join Bath ASU?
Two things. I’ve always worked in pharma, and patient focus has always been an important motivator for me. At Bath ASU, there’s a real immediacy about what we do.
The products we prepare today make a huge difference for someone tomorrow — someone who is likely facing one of the biggest challenges of their life. We get to help make that a little bit better.
Secondly, I was excited to be part of — and lead — a team in a growing sector. There’s a huge opportunity to expand our footprint and grow the business, which I find incredibly motivating.
What’s been a pleasant surprise about coming to work each day?
The team at Bath ASU, Pharmaxo, and Icon have been fantastic — really welcoming and passionate about what we do. Work is always better when you’re surrounded by great colleagues. Not to mention, we’re based in one of the prettiest places I’ve ever worked!
What are you most excited about in the year ahead — whether in life, work, or your goals at Bath ASU?
At Bath ASU, we’re growing and we’ve got big ambitions. There’s a tonne of work to do this year to achieve those goals, and I’m especially passionate about people and teams — and how we collaborate. We’ll only succeed if all our teams and functions work together as one.
So this year, for me, is about really understanding our culture, our business, and identifying the opportunities we can leverage to move the whole organisation forward.
Personally? I’ve promised myself I’ll get fit again and run a half marathon in 2026 — so I need to get my runners on pronto!
What would you say to someone considering a role at Bath ASU?
There’s a huge opportunity to make a difference here – and in a big way. The immediate impact we can have for patients is very significant. From day one, you’ll be part of something important. This is a company with lots of potential and big ambitions. Come be part of it!
What’s the biggest leadership lesson you’ve learned — and what advice do you now share because of it?
I have three mantras that help me every day:
1. Options are your friend. If you can create options, you always have a route to move forward.
2. Keep the operators at the centre of the process. If we make it easy to do the job, we will always deliver for patients.
3. There’s no problem that can’t be solved with the right people round the table. I’m inspired by the Apollo 13 mission – if astronauts could be rescued from space with ingenuity, duct tape, and a Hoover bag, then we can solve anything we face at Bath ASU.
